Dea Theinert: A Journey Through Color and Structure

Dea Theinert: A Journey Through Color and Structure
From a New Beginning to a Passion
Dea, a self-taught artist, only discovered painting in mid-life. During a period of personal and professional reorientation, she found art to be her central mode of expression. What began as an experiment quickly evolved into a true passion that now significantly shapes and enriches her life. This courage for change is reflected in her works.
Technique: Vibrancy Through the Palette Knife Technique
In her works, Dea primarily uses high-quality acrylic and oil paints. Especially the palette knife technique with a painting knife or rubber spatula allows her to bring motifs to life with haptic structure onto the canvas. This technique gives her paintings a special depth and power that goes beyond mere aesthetics.
Motifs: Between Hamburg, the Sea, and Femininity
Her themes are closely linked to her surroundings: the atmosphere of her hometown Hamburg, the freedom of the sea, or the dynamism of horses flow into her work, as does the complexity of female forms. Dea's art is intuitive, colorful, and constantly evolving. She sees her works as a bridge and a way to connect on a human level – true to her motto:
"Art is love and the most beautiful connection to each other."
