Art Historical Classification
"In all of Yvonne Lautenschläger's paintings, the first thing one notices is the positive basic mood: the works appear humorous, are able to win the viewer over, and bring a smile to one's face. Yet one should not be deceived: this is calculated. The artist wants to win the viewer over first, never deterring them with negative aspects, only to then – once they engage with the work – subtly draw their attention to the deeper underlying values."
— Dr. Britta Schlüter-Oldekop, Art Historian, Hamburg
