“Beauty is everywhere 3” captures the subtle magic of the ephemeral. Birte Zabel arranges dried, deep purple and magenta flowers together with delicate buds in a slender glass vessel. A soft, pastel pink wool ribbon around the neck of the vase breaks the coolness of the glass and adds a tactile detail to the composition. The deep, shimmering teal background gives the scene a painterly depth reminiscent of classical still lifes, cast in a modern, timeless light.
